Project Description
Climax Molybdenum
Multi-discipline security lodge relocation
The Climax Molybdenum Company's Stowmarket plant is one of the world’s premier production and conversion facilities for ferromolybdenum.
They had a requirement to relocate their Security Lodge on their site, and required a wide range of fields within the STC portfolio: -
All of this work was undertaken on a very tight schedule, so as not to affect production on site. We worked alongside a civil contractor to ensure health and safety regulations were covered at all times.
Overall we delivered, installed and carried out training on all the equipment on time meeting the Climax deadline.
CCTV System
The extensive CCTV system on site was integrated with new cameras for the entrance way and all the cameras were linked back to the new security office to allow staff to view the whole of the site from the new location.
Weighbridge
The weighbridge has been constructed so that lorry drivers can now enter and leave the site without having to leave their vehicle. The PC now controls all deliveries and collections, capturing driver information.
Access Control
Access control terminals have the ability to communicate to a security officer, and/or use staff ID cards to automatically open barriers. The access control system, also on the PC network, logs the time of arrival and time of departure of each person coming onto site.
The access control cards were printed on a card printer showing the company logo, staff member’s photograph and contact details.
